Beaufort Braces for Daily Storms as Humidity Grips the Forecast

Posted on July 27, 2026July 27, 2026 by BeaufortLionsClub Staff

Beaufort, South Carolina, is settling into a stretch of classic summer weather this week, with sticky humidity, warm temperatures, and a strong chance of afternoon thunderstorms nearly every day through early August.

As of early Monday morning, temperatures in Beaufort sat at 26°C, with a RealFeel closer to 32°C. Skies were mostly clear overnight, with light winds out of the west northwest at just 2 km/h.

Air quality was rated fair, meaning most residents should be fine outdoors, though sensitive groups could notice mild effects with prolonged exposure.

Allergy watchers should take note that dust and dander levels are running extreme today, even as tree pollen, ragweed, and mold remain low to moderate.

What to Expect Today and Tonight

Monday’s forecast calls for a humid mix of sun and clouds, with a high near 33°C. A thunderstorm is likely to develop sometime in the afternoon, so anyone with outdoor plans should keep an eye on the sky.

Overnight lows will dip to around 26°C, with partly cloudy and humid conditions persisting into the night. Rain chances for the day sit around 55 percent.

Storms Building Through the Week

The pattern doesn’t ease up much as the week goes on. Tuesday brings an 84 percent chance of rain with partly sunny skies giving way to scattered showers and a thunderstorm risk overnight. Wednesday looks even more active, with the potential for a heavy thunderstorm during the day before clearer, humid conditions return at night.

Thursday continues the trend with showers and thunderstorms expected, and rain chances climbing to nearly 88 percent, the highest of the ten-day outlook. A brief break arrives Friday, when skies turn partly sunny and rain odds drop to just 25 percent, offering a bit of relief before humidity and storm chances build again over the weekend.

Looking further out, the AccuWeather ten-day forecast shows temperatures holding in the low to mid 30s through early August, with thunderstorm chances popping up nearly every afternoon.

Meteorologists are also tracking tropical activity off the Southeast coast, which could add more moisture and instability to the region in the coming days. Locals are advised to stay weather aware and keep rain gear handy as the humid, storm-prone pattern continues.
